Do you think public schools have gotten worse?
My little sister is 12 years old and she goes to a public school here in the capital of Washington.
She reports to me things that happen at school and i’m completely blown away. Boys have apparently been paying girls $5-$10 to kiss, strip and “do things” with them. Kids are losing their virginity in the bathroom stalls during break time and lunch.
I have noticed girls dressing worse and worse. They hardly wear anything! They sell these skimpy clothes in pre-teen sizes… it makes me sick.
I over-heard my sister’s 12 year old friend talking to a boy on the phone. She says “I want to lick you like a lolli-pop” and “I wish you were here so we could have sex”. When i’m picking my sister up from a skating rink, i hear kids cursing like mad everywhere.
What do you think the problem is here? I know that every parent of every child there isn’t that bad. I’m 21 and the kids at public schools seem to know more “worlds and things” than I do.
I totally agree…I think that a major reason is marketing and media. Look at the music kids that age listen too. Kids are mimicking what they see and hear, what they think is acceptable. “I wanna lick you like a lollipop” or “I’m a slave” which have become ok in our society. Even the cloths are getting sluty, thongs for children c’mon. They aren’t mature enough but have to deal with sexual issues because it’s constantly in their face.
the other part is education in schools…jr. high and high school are just a daycare for you kids, it doesn’t really prepare much of anything. Have you seen are you smarter than a 5th grader, half those questions adults don’t know.
